The drug deal was supposed to take place at a BP gas station at 3666 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, but was changed to the Circle K parking lot at 23292 Harborview Road, Charlotte Harbor when one of the suspects said his supplier would meet them there, the sheriff’s office said.
It happened at 3:20 p.m., when undercover detectives met with occupants in a Ford Explorer at the Circle K when a Hyundai pulled into the parking lot. The money and crack were then exchanged and traffic and K-9 units then arrested the three men and three women being arrested.
Chancy, Capizzano, Stopa and Lanigan-Kaiser were all charged with sale and delivery of crack cocaine. Lanigan-Kaiser was also charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia; Platt was charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia; and Allen was charged with possession of Xanex.
Chancy, who initiated the drug deal with undercover detectives in the Explorer, was additionally charged with possession of Vicodin, possession of methadone, possession of drug equipment. He was also charged with sale and delivery of Endocet and possession of Endocet stemming from a Nov. 9 drug sting at the same BP gas station.
Both vehicles were seized for forfeiture.
