The following indictments were returned by a 3rd Judicial District Court grand jury on Jan. 3:James Kenneth Goodwin, 26, 4446 1/2 Tornillo or 1446 1/2 Gonzalez, Las Cruces, is charged with trafficking and possession of marijuana on Dec. 4.
Gary Figueroa, 33, 910 S. Esperanza or 1111 Chaparro, Las Cruces, is charged with possession of a controlled substance on Aug. 14.
assault upon a peace officer, aggravated driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, no driver's license and open container on Dec. 29. District attorney lists no prior DWI convictions.
Rodman Lee, 48, New Mexico Dept. of Corrections, Santa Fe, is charged with escape or attempt to escape from the penitentiary, conspiracy to commit escape or attempt to escape from the penitentiary, attempt to commit a felony, to wit: Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and criminal damage to property on Feb. 1, 2006.
Jonathan Balderrama, 19, 505 Curry Court, Anthony, is charged with distribution of marijuana and conspiracy to commit distribution of marijuana on June 8.
Shawn Brian Nevels, 35, 606 Conway, Las Cruces, is charged with trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 4.
Gregory Cleo Fernandez, 31, 119 Gallagher Ave., Las Cruces, is charged with distribution of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on Dec. 11.
Joe Roberto Pino, 47, P.O. Box 462 or 421 Wilson St., Hatch, is charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked, operating vehicle without required headlamps, expired registration plate and open container on Oct. 28. District attorney lists three prior DWI convictions.
Jose A. Gonzalez, 54, Rt. 1 Box 457, La Mesa or Community of Hope, Las Cruces, is charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked, speeding, no proof of insurance, expired registration and open container on Jan. 5. District attorney lists 10 prior DWI convictions.
Samuel Pinedo-Torres, 48, 805 N. 17th St. or 523 N. Solano, #4, Las Cruces, is charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked, careless driving and no proof of insurance on Nov. 19. District attorney lists six prior DWI convictions.
