Nearly two dozen people were arrested Tuesday in a major drug ring that spanned three Oregon counties

Nearly two dozen people were arrested Tuesday in a major drug ring that spanned three Oregon counties, and investigators said the suspects have moved a lot of heroin.

Police allege the suspects sold heroin in Marion, Clackamas and Polk counties. It took about 200 officers and deputies across the Willamette Valley to nab the 22 people.

Investigators said they’ve arrested not only street dealers but people also allegedly running the organization.

The suspects are accused of moving a large amount of heroin across those counties over several months.

Deputies seized $40,000 in cash along with less than a pound each of marijuana, methamphetamine and heroin hidden in a boot.
