Surrey man who works as a security screening officer at Vancouver International Airport is one of three men accused of drug trafficking.
Ajitpal Singh Judge, 31, fellow screener Gurvinder Singh Pahl, 24, of Richmond and alleged drug courier Dylan Scott Green, 20, of Vancouver are charged with trafficking in MDMA, also known as Ecstasy.
Green was arrested on May 9 after Canadian Border Service Agency officers stopped him in the post-security section of the US departure gates. Police say he was carrying 14.77 kilograms of "suspected" MDMA in his backpack.
On May 20 Judge and Pahl - both uniformed screening officers with the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority - were arrested and have since been released on bail pending their next court appearance on June 15. Both face charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance, and breach of trust. Pahl has also been charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
Green is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance.
