William Yendis Franklin

William Yendis Franklin was arrested by a Texas state trooper in Angleton on Thursday afternoon on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was taken to the county jail.
While he was undressing for a body search during the routine booking process, he reached into his underwear and pulled out a small bag, officers said.
"It was quick," Brazoria County sheriff's Lt. Russ Baker said Friday. "He did it too fast for anybody to stop him."
Baker said Franklin chewed on the bag and then pulled the empty bag from his mouth.
When Franklin began to show effects of the drug, he was taken by ambulance to Angleton-Danbury Hospital. His condition continued to deteriorate, Baker said, and he died in the emergency room.
