The Day - New London man gets 5 years for dealing crack cocaine
| News from southeastern Connecticut: "New London man was sentenced to five years in federal prison Thursday for his part in a drug-trafficking conspiracy in the New London area, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.
Benjamin Gregor, 25, of Crystal Avenue sold 6 grams of crack cocaine to an indivudal working with law enforcement at the Crystal Avenue housing complex and was intercepted via wiretap having narcotics-related discussions with Lamont Muller, who authorities say was the leader of a drug-dealing ring in the area.
U.S. District Judge Robert N. Chatigny sentenced Gregor to 60 months in prison, which is the mandatory minimum sentence for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute crack cocaine, and four years of supervised release.
On Sept. 24, 2010, Muller pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine, 50 grams or more of cocaine base ('crack cocaine') and a quantity of marijuana and oxycodone. He awaits sentencing."
