largest cocaine seizure in Bell County history

Central Texas authorities have seized $1.2 million worth of drugs and arrested three men in what they are calling the largest cocaine seizure in Bell County history.
More than 3,000 grams of powder cocaine and 80 grams of crack cocaine were seized from two townhouses where the suspects had allegedly been converting the powder cocaine into crack, said Killeen police spokeswoman Carroll Smith.

"It's the largest drug bust in Bell County history. That's very gratifying. That's a lot of dope off the streets," she said.
A search warrant was executed after a Killeen police officer saw marijuana at one of the homes while serving a warrant on an unrelated charge for a different person, Smith said. The officer then notified the organized crime unit in Killeen, located about 70 miles north of Austin.Smith said it was a situation where the officer was "in the right place at the right time" and made the most of a good observation.Brothers Kevin Lemar Warren, 27, and Keith Lemar Warren Jr., 30, and Terrance Damien Ford, 35, were arrested by police and each charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver an amount over 400 grams. Bond was set at $300,000 for each and all three remained in the Bell County Jail on Thursday, according to online jail records. If convicted, the men each face up to life in prison and $250,000 fines. The three men were arrested without incident, Smith said. She said she did not know if they were part of a larger drug ring.According to an arrest affidavit, police also found two pounds of suspected marijuana, a .40-caliber handgun, four Pyrex measuring cups with suspected cocaine residue, a digital scale, baking soda and other paraphernalia commonly used to make and sell crack cocaine.
